CFI Team Fellowship in Beit Shemesh – Resting, Reconnecting, and Refueling

Ministry can be intense. The needs are constant, the burdens are heavy, and the work often takes us deep into broken places. That’s why moments of fellowship and rest aren’t just refreshing, they are absolutely essential.

Recently, I had the blessing of spending a beautiful day with the entire Christian Friends of Israel (CFI) team. We stepped away from our outreach work and gathered in Beit Shemesh, surrounded by God’s creation, for a simple but deeply meaningful time together.

We shared stories, laughed, and prayed together. With the desert landscape all around us and a joyful barbecue meal prepared by the team, we were reminded that ministry is not only about tasks, but about hearts.

I had the opportunity to reflect with fellow CFI staff about the importance of community in missions. As we sat under the sky, I was filled with gratitude—not just for the mission, but for the people beside me. We’re more than co-workers; we are brothers and sisters in Christ.

As the Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 4:9–10, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”

Thank you, CFI team, for being more than colleagues—for being family.

And thank You, Lord, for moments of joy in the middle of the mission.

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” — Psalm 133:1
