The Spiritual War Against Israel, Antisemitism, Truth, and God’s Call to His People

I believe we are living in a time of unveiling, a time when the spiritual war that has raged for millennia is becoming more visible. What we are witnessing around the world is not just another chapter in geopolitics or history. It is the shaking of heaven and earth, and at the center of it all is one name: Israel.

The Ancient Hatred

The hatred of the Jewish people is not new. It did not begin with Nazi Germany or Islamic extremism or leftist academia. It is ancient. It is spiritual. And it is demonic.

From Pharaoh’s slaughter of the Hebrew sons in Egypt to Haman’s plot in Persia, from the Roman destruction of Jerusalem to modern-day terrorist attacks, antisemitism has followed Israel like a shadow. Why? Because Israel is not just another nation. It is the nation through which God revealed Himself, gave His law, sent His prophets, and ultimately brought forth His Son.

Satan has always hated what God has chosen and he hates Israel because God chose it.

Israel in Scripture: God’s Covenant Still Stands

When God made a covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12, He said,
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

That covenant was not cancelled. It was confirmed again and again to Isaac, to Jacob, to Moses, to David. Israel’s disobedience brought judgment, yes. Exile, yes. But never abandonment.

Paul, in the New Testament, makes this clear:
“God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew.” (Romans 11:2)
And again:
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29)

The restoration of Israel as a state in 1948 was not a political accident. It was a prophetic fulfillment. Ezekiel 36–37 describes how God would bring His people back to the land in unbelief and only later breathe spiritual life into them. We are watching that unfold before our eyes.

The War in Gaza: More Than Politics

The war between Israel and Gaza is not merely about borders or retaliation. It is a clash of kingdoms.

Hamas, driven by a jihadist ideology, seeks not peace but destruction. Its charter calls for the elimination of Israel. It educates children to hate Jews and glorifies martyrdom. This is not a struggle for freedom, it is a spiritual manifestation of the ancient war between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent (Genesis 3:15).

But this war is also exposing something deeper: the world’s discomfort with the Jewish state’s very existence. Universities erupt in protest. Celebrities turn silent. UN resolutions multiply. Rockets fly into civilian homes, and Israel is blamed for defending itself. Why? Because the spirit of antisemitism is once again rising and it has spiritual roots.

God’s Purpose in the Midst of War

So where is God in all of this?

He is calling. He is shaking. He is using crisis to awaken His people both Jews and Gentiles to the reality of who He is.

The prophets spoke of a time when God would gather Israel back into the land and allow distress to break their pride, that they might seek His face.
“I will return again to my place, until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face, and in their distress earnestly seek me.” (Hosea 5:15)

This war like so many before it is not the end. It is the groaning before the redemption.

There is a day coming when God will pour out the Spirit of grace and supplication on the house of David.
“They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for Him.” (Zechariah 12:10)
And all Israel will be saved. (Romans 11:26)

God is not finished with Israel. What we see now is judgment mixed with mercy. War mixed with calling. Pain wrapped in divine purpose.

What Must the Church Do?

We must wake up.

This is not a time to be politically correct or biblically passive. It is a time to pray not just for peace, but for repentance. For Israel to return to the God of their fathers. For the nations to fear the Lord. For the Church to rise with discernment and intercession.

We must reject antisemitism in every form whether violent or subtle. We must bless Israel not just with words, but with prayer, support, and biblical clarity.

We must also look inward. The shaking around Israel is also a warning to the nations. God is not mocked. He is purifying His Bride, and He is preparing the world for the return of His Son.

The Final Word

This is not Israel’s war alone. It is God’s battlefield. And His purposes will prevail.

Though the nations rage, and the world turns against her, Israel will stand, not because of her power, but because of God’s promise.
And one day, a remnant will rise.
One day, the veil will be lifted.
One day, they will say,
“Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” (Matthew 23:39)

Until then, I will watch, pray, and believe not in politics, not in armies, but in the God who is faithful to His covenant, slow to anger, and mighty to save.
