When Rockets Fall on Peaceful Streets: Pray for Haifa

This morning, my heart is heavy.

Haifa, a city known for its peaceful coexistence between Arabs and Jews is now under attack. A place where two peoples lived like one family is suddenly a war zone.

The rockets falling from the sky do not ask who is Arab or who is Jewish. They strike without mercy. And tonight, one of those rockets took the life of an Arab woman from Tamra. We pray for her family that God would comfort them and surround them with His peace.

This is what the enemy does not understand: Haifa has always been a symbol of unity. It has never belonged to only one side. It has been home to many hearts beating together Arab and Jewish neighbors, coworkers, friends.

But tonight, those hearts are breaking.

As of the latest report:

  • 10 people are confirmed dead
  • 20 are missing
  • 220 are injured

Every day, the pain deepens. Families are grieving. Others are still waiting for news. The streets are filled with fear, and the air is heavy with sorrow.

We ask for your prayers daily, fervent, believing prayers.

Pray that:

  • God would protect all civilians Jews and Aarabs alike
  • The skies over Haifa would be shielded from harm
  • The wounded would find healing
  • Families who lost loved ones would find comfort
  • God would bless the soldiers who are fighting and give them strength
  • Peace would return, stronger than before

This is not just another war. It is a tragedy for everyone who calls this land home. But I still believe God is in control. The hearts of kings are in His hands. And He is not blind to suffering.

May this day of sorrow lead us to deeper mercy, to stronger unity, and to a renewed hope that one day, Arab and Jew will again sit together in peace.

I still believe God is in control. The hearts of kings are in His hands. And He is not blind to suffering.

May this day of sorrow lead us to deeper mercy, to stronger unity, and to a renewed hope that one day, Arab and Jew will again sit together in peace.

And may this shaking also awaken the heart of the Israeli nation that in the midst of fear and loss, they would turn back to the true God, the One who alone can heal, restore, and save.
